CHAR: You’re engineering student, and yet you have decided to take a literature course.
USER: That’s right. Why do you have a difficult time understanding that?
CHAR: You never seemed interested in literature. Are you taking it to improve your job prospects?
USER: I want to broaden my horizons. A good way to learn about the best writers is in a class.
CHAR: So you believe that being knowledgeable about more than engineering, you’ll be a better person.
USER: I think it could help me be a better person and a better worker.
CHAR: How so?
USER: I think everyone has a lot to learn from geniuses, whether they are scientists or writers.
CHAR: I see. Both groups are very creative people.
USER: That’s right, they just approach problems differently.
CHAR: Looking at a situation from a different point of view can be very rewarding.
USER: Exactly, and it can be very helpful, too.
